Product Description

Automatic resin-coated sand shell core-shooting machine

The working principle of the shell core machine is based on the hot core box process. Its core is to use compressed air to inject coated sand into a preheated core box at high speed. The sand injection process completes the compaction of the core sand while filling the core box. Subsequently, the core sand is rapidly heated and hardened in the hot core box.

To produce hollow shell cores that save sand materials and improve breathability, the equipment is equipped with a mold frame flipping function. After sand shooting and initial curing, the mold frame can automatically flip 180°, pouring out the remaining sand in the center of the core box that has not been fully cured, thus forming a hollow shell core with uniform wall thickness. This process can save about 40% of the coated sand and solve the problem of poor breathability of solid sand cores.

A complete working cycle typically includes the following steps: mold closing → sand shooting cylinder advancing and compressing → sand shooting → sand shooting cylinder releasing and retracting → core sand solidifying in the hot core box → mold frame flipping 180° and vibrating to pour out excess sand → mold frame resetting → mold opening → sand core ejection → mold closing, preparing for the next cycle. The entire process can be operated manually, automatically in a single cycle, or fully automatically through PLC.
