Advanced Sandblasting Equipment Shot Blasting Machine Machine for Rust Removal in Casting Applications

Product Description

Tumble belt shot blasting machine or crawler shot blasting machine or Rubber-Tracked Shot Blasting Equipment

Tumble belt shot blasting machine or crawler shot blasting machine is the most universal among all shot blasters as their design makes them suitable for processing parts of different sizes in bulk loads. Shot blasting of casts, forged and pressed parts, remodelled cold or hot, of various complicated forms, springs, etc. (weighing up to 20 kg and manufactured in smaller and large series, the volume of a particular filling may be up to 500 L, mass up to 1,000 kg), cleaning surface, removing casting sand and filings and consolidating the surface (microhandling), roughing the surface before colouring, etc.

Rubber-Tracked Shot Blasting Equipment

The workpiece is placed inside the track roller, and the rotation of the track drives the workpiece to continuously tumble; the impeller of the shot blasting machine rotates at high speed to eject steel shot at high velocity, and each surface of the workpiece is hit by the shot in turn, ensuring no cleaning dead zones; the steel shot and dust fall through the gaps in the track, and are sent to the air separator by the spiral + elevator. The qualified steel shot is recycled, the dust is discharged through the dust collector, and the slag and waste materials are separated and discharged

The machine's housing is protected by wear-resistant manganese steel. High efficiency of the machine is provided by the system for continued returning and cleaning of the abrasive, along with efficient turbines made from wear-resistant materials.

Standard equipment of larger machines includes: PLC Siemens, display, timer automatic or manual mode, automatic start-up of turbines, working-hours counter, etc.

The machine may be equipped with a magnetic separator, vibration conveyor and variable frequency drive for the turbines.

Advantages of tumble belt shot blasting machine:

1. Improve the quality of the workpiece:

By performing cleaning and surface treatment, the tumble belt shot blasting machine can improve the quality and appearance of the workpiece. It removes undesirable surface substances and eliminates defects and imperfections, which is important for enhancing the appearance of the product's attractiveness, quality standards and customer satisfaction.

2. Extend the life of the workpiece:

By removing the oxide layer, rust and other undesirable substances, tumble belt shot blasting machine can improve the corrosion and wear resistance of the workpiece. It can reduce the risk of corrosion, fatigue and damage to the workpiece, and extend the service life of the workpiece.

3. Multi-functional applications:

Tumble belt shot blasting machine is suitable for the treatment of various sizes and shapes of workpieces. It has greater flexibility and can handle workpieces from different industries, including large steel structures, automotive parts, aircraft parts, etc.

FAQ

Q1:What types of workpieces can the Q32 tumble belt shot blasting machine handle?

A1:The Q32 tumble belt shot blasting machine is designed for small and medium sized workpieces including castings, forgings, stampings, fasteners such as bolts and nuts, springs, small gears, and hardware parts. It is ideal for batch processing of workpieces that are not easily damaged by tumbling.

Q2:Does the Q32 shot blasting machine require a pit during installation?

A2:No. The Q32 tumble belt shot blasting machine features a pitless design, making installation simple and convenient. It requires only a flat and stable floor surface, which makes it suitable for workshops with limited space or existing facilities.

Q3:What's the load capacity of the Q32 tumble belt shot blasting machine?

A3:The Q32 model can typically handle a single batch load ranging from 100-300 kg, depending on the density & size of the workpieces.

Q4:What surface effects can be achieved after shot blasting with the Q32 machine?

A4:The Q32 effectively removes rust, scale, welding slag, and old coatings from workpiece surfaces. After blasting, the surface shows a uniform metallic luster with a consistent rough profile that enhances coating adhesion. For parts requiring strengthening, the shot blasting process also improves fatigue resistance.

Q5:How does the Q32 shot blasting machine compare with sandblasting equipment?

A5:The Q32 tumble belt machine uses centrifugal force to project steel shots onto workpieces, providing strong impact and high efficiency for batch processing. Unlike sandblasting, which uses compressed air and is more flexible for complex shapes, shot blasting also creates a compressive stress layer on the metal surface, improving fatigue resistance.

Q6:What wear parts need regular replacement on the Q32 tumble belt shot blasting machine?

A6:The main wear parts include blast wheel blades, metering wheel, control cage, chamber liners, and dust collector filter cartridges. Blades typically require replacement after several hundred hours of operation depending on usage intensity. Regular inspection of these parts is recommended to maintain optimal performance.

Q7:Can the Q32 machine be customized for automatic loading and unloading?

A7:Yes. The Q32 tumble belt shot blasting machine can be customized with automatic loading and unloading systems including vibratory feeders and discharge conveyors. This automation significantly improves production efficiency and reduces labor costs for high volume continuous operation.

Q8:Does the Q32 shot blasting machine generate dust during operation?

A8:Modern Q32 tumble belt machines are equipped with high efficiency dust collection systems that capture dust during operation. The sealed chamber design maintains negative pressure to prevent dust escape, ensuring emissions meet environmental standards and maintaining a clean working environment.
